How can I improve hyperpigmentation?

Step 2: Prevent the formation of new pigmentation

Use specialized lightening and brightening ingredients that work by different mechanisms to maximize their effectiveness.  Look for kojic acid, arbutin, niacinamide, licorice, emblica, white shitake mushroom and vitamin C.

Step 3: Protect against UV rays

Skin that is not protected from the sun is susceptible to further hyperpigmentation. Using a daily broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 is the key to preventing further pigmentation.
